ABOUT US:
Did you know local schools often collect and give out basic clothing items and warm winter gear? Often times this work falls on the Nurses, Counselor and PTO staff to organize in addition to their busy days! Students must have these items to participate in outdoor recess and activities. Many of our local students also walk and bike to school year around. New Duds Winter Gear program started in 2020. Our goal is to add ease to the current work the schools are doing to keep our city’s youth in warm winter gear. New Duds provides the storage space to collect items year around as well as streamlining the process of getting these items out to the schools. The need is high and the city is full of winter gear not being reused, its time to connect the dots better! All items are inspected and dolled out to existing programs in the Burlington School District. Now we are all able to help more local students stay warm and have fun in the winter!
DONATIONS/COLLECTION:
We are accepting all items below in good used and new condition, year around:
Winter Snow Pants and Snow bibs - Youth XS thru XXL and Adult XS-LG
Waterproof Winter Boots - Little kid size 10 thru Youth 7, Adult sizes 6-12
Waterproof gloves and mittens. - Youth size XS-XL
Winter jackets - Youth Size XS - XXL, Children’s size 5-16yrs, as well as Adult SM-LG
Warm winter Hats, Earbands + Neckwarmers - Youth and Adult sizes
Youth pants as well as adult leggings and sweatpants - sizes 5Y to Adult XL.
Youth Sneakers - Size Little kid 10 to Youth 7 + Adult sizes in New or like New condition
